2016--I am so happy to have Jack in my herd sire lineup! His dam Viva is a doe I have admired since she joined the Blissberry herd. Two years ago I bought a doeling out of Mandalay Bay with the plan on doing an AI to Playboy to get my own sort of Viva doe. Unfortunately she passed away from a congenital defect. Last year then I started thinking about a buckling out of Viva and was excited about her breeding plan! Jack was a quad with 3 sisters so I was sure lucky to get my boy!

This year Viva had a great year; she appraised EX92 and was Reserve Champion at the MN State Fair! Jack's sire Tolkien is son of the 2012 Reserve Champion Toledo and his paternal grandsire Fortune is out of 2 time Premier Sire Bluebeard and 3 time National Champion Pika! Jack has a packed pedigree and has a very promising future in my herd.

Jack is a very naturally wide buck who exhibits tremendous body capacity. I have hopes for him to add that same width and depth to my herd. He is a very dairy buck without sacrificing any masculinity. His kids will definitely be some to watch in the future!

2017: Jack's dam Viva made the Elite doe list this year, in the 99th percentile! Jack himself is maturing beautifully, a good balance of both of his parents. He has been a busy boy and we'll see his kids by Roxie, Maddie, and Piper in the spring.
