2015: Piper is a doe that I would have NEVER in a million years thought I would own. Piper is truly a replica of her mom; a big strong girl who is a representation of what Nubians should be. I am really looking forward to working with Piper. Her pedigree really speaks for itself. As one of the only does left with Temerity as a maternal granddam, I expect nothing but great things from this pretty girl :)
2016: Piper kidded about 9 days early due to a kid that had died in utero, thus triggering early labor to clear the body. The remaining kid did survive although was a very tiny preemie that lived in the house for 2 weeks! (He was small for other reasons that must've been going on with Piper). Because she freshened early, Piper did not come into a lot of milk. She was a fabulous mother though and her buckling grew into a beautiful buck that I just couldn't part with! She would even let Roxie's buckling nurse! :) Piper dried up in September and came into raging heat cycles. This girl was born to be a mother and I will happily oblige because I definitely want more offspring from her. Hoping for some beautiful doelings next year.
2017: This is Piper's year! She freshened with triplets a few days before Mother's Day. Her udder is finally representing all that her genetics should. Simply put, she is beautiful and I still am so thankful for her place in my herd. She gave me 2 daughters this year who are VERY nice looking kids. As long as she maintains condition nursing her triplets, she will be bred this fall. A very neat combination of genetics in a breeding to our youngest herd sire *B Blissberry LT Vegas Jackpot.
