Sales Policy
I take the rehoming of my goats/kids very seriously. I want to make sure my animals are going to have good homes and lives after they leave here and make every effort to match up goats with the right home for them. If you are interested in purchasing from Ivory Oak, please send us a short email and tell us about yourself.
All of my kids are dam raised and I do not allow kids to be picked up until he/she is at least 2 months old. I want the kids to get the best start to life, and being with their mom allows that to happen. All kids are also bottle trained so you can continue bottle feeding after they leave here. I recommend kids receive milk until 5 months of age.
If you would like to reserve a kid from a particular breeding that interests you, a non-refundable deposit of $100 is required. Deposit will not be refunded if you cancel your order, or change your mind after the kid is born. Deposits may be refunded if your reserved buckling or doeling is not born, or it may be transferred to a different kid. While I reserve the right to retain any kid for my own breeding program, I also understand how much work goes into your decision on a reservation to add to your own herd. I make every effort to "over-retain" kids for myself to ensure that all other reservations can be filled.
All purchases must be paid in full before your new goat leaves our property. Checks will be accepted as long as payment clears before you pick up. Certified Checks or Cashier's Checks will be accepted day of pick up. Kid registration and transfer costs are paid by Ivory Oak and done so after pick up. Registration papers will be mailed to you directly from ADGA. Mature animals are already registered; buyers will receive their registration papers upon pickup and are responsible for transferring ownership.
To show our appreciation for return customers, we offer 10% off your total purchase price if you are a repeat buyer. Additionally, if you purchase more than one animal at one time, we also offer a 10% discount as we appreciate our goats being able to stay together.
All sales are final. Because we are a closed herd and for biosecurity reasons, once a goat leaves our property it is not allowed to be returned unless it has undergone disease testing and is coming back from a disease free herd.
*There may be extenuating circumstances or previous arrangements where certain policies will not apply.
