Thank you for choosing Ivory Oak! We take the sale of our animals very seriously. We want to make sure my animals are going to have good homes and lives after they leave here and make every effort to match up goats with the right home for them. If you are interested in purchasing from Ivory Oak, please send us a short email and tell us about yourself and what you are looking for as an addition(s) to your herd.
To our Valued Customers To show our appreciation for return customers, we offer 10% off your purchase price as a repeat buyer and off of purchases of 3 or more animals.
Reserving a Kid A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to reserve a kid from any of our breedings. Deposits will not be refunded if you cancel your order or change your mind after the kid is born. Deposits may be refunded if your reserved buckling or doeling is not born, or it may be transferred to a different kid. We reserve the right to retain any kid for our own breeding program.
Bringing your Kid Home All of our kids are dam raised and we wait to send them home until 2-3 months of age to ensure they get the best start to life. All kids are also bottle trained so you can continue bottle feeding after they leave here; we recommend kids receive milk until 5 months of age. All purchases must be paid in full before your new goat leaves our property. All of our goat are registered with ADGA. Kid registration and transfer costs are paid by Ivory Oak and completed after payment & pick up. Registration papers will be mailed to you directly from ADGA.
Purchasing Mature Animals Because mature animals have already settled into social and familial groups, we make every effort to not rehome aged animals. Therefore when we do rehome mature animals, we do so in groups and do not let them go as single sales. Bucks may go as singles, but are used to living within the buck herd, so we do have wethers available. Mature animals are already registered; buyers will receive their registration papers upon pickup and are responsible for transferring ownership.
Sales Policy All sales are final. Because we are a closed herd and for biosecurity reasons, once a goat leaves our property it is not allowed to be returned unless it has undergone disease testing and is coming back from a disease-free herd. Necropsies are required (performed by a veterinarian) should any deaths arise within 1-2 week of leaving our property.
